Please join the USKZBA and representatives of the State Department and Embassy of Kazakhstan for a briefing and Q&A discussion regarding the next steps in US official participation in Astana’s Expo 2017.
The American business community came together to support the State Department moving forward with official participation in Expo 2017, with soft sponsorship commitments totaling over 6 million USD. In response, the State Department issued a Request for Proposals, due October 26, for interested parties to submit proposals to design, organize and implement a plan for US official presence at the Expo. The RFP can be found on the Federal Register, linked here.
This discussion will be of interest for any stakeholders in the US pavilion at Expo 2017 – organizations considering submitting a proposal, sponsor companies, and the broader US business community operating in Kazakhstan. We will cover topics ranging from specifics regarding the RFP process and timeline, what comes next in terms of public-private cooperation regarding design and themes of the US pavilion and opportunities for more US companies to get involved.
We understand this is short notice, but hope you or a representative of your organization will attend. If you are not able to attend, but have questions that you would like to US and Kazakhstani government representatives to address, please send them to Sarah Frese (firstname.lastname@example.org).
